📖Overview of Muharram-ul-Haram
Muharram-ul-Haram marks the beginning of the Islamic Hijri year. Aala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (رحمۃ اللہ علیہ) notes in Fatawa Razvia that Muharram is among the Ashhur-i-Hurum (Sacred Months). Fasting on Ashura (10th Muharram) along with 9th or 11th Muharram is a highly rewarded Sunnah.
One of the four sacred months mentioned in Quran (Surah At-Tawbah 9:36) wherein fighting was forbidden.
⭐Special Significance
The Day of Ashura (10th Muharram) holds great historical and spiritual significance. On this day, Allah saved Hazrat Musa (alayhis salam) and the Children of Israel from Pharaoh, and Hazrat Imam Hussain (radiyallahu anhu) attained martyrdom at Karbala standing for truth.
