Episode 01 — The Saint of Shah-e-Alam

"Meet Sayyid Sirajuddin Muhammad, known to history as Shah Alam (1415–1475 CE), son of Qutb-e-Alam of Vatva."

South of the walled city of Ahmedabad lies the magnificent complex of Shah Alam Roza, a sanctuary of intricate stone carving, domes, and tranquility. The saint interred here is Sayyid Sirajuddin Muhammad, affectionately known as Shah Alam (King of the Spiritual Realm).

Born in 1415 CE (818 AH), Shah Alam belonged to the noble Bukhari Sayyid family. His father, Sayyid Burhanuddin Qutb-e-Alam, had migrated from Bukhara to Gujarat and established a famed spiritual center in Vatva under Sultan Ahmed Shah I, the founder of Ahmedabad.

Shah Alam inherited both his father's profound Quranic learning and intense spiritual discipline. Known for his eloquence, kindness, and deep concern for public welfare, Shah Alam became a trusted advisor to the Sultans of Gujarat while remaining completely unattached to court luxury. Sultans, merchants, artisans, and farmers alike sought his counsel in times of hardship.
